An Overview of the Organization

China Children and Teenagers' Fund (CCTF) is China's first State-level public-raising foundation that was established under the leadership of the All-China's Women on July 28, 1981. Its former presidents included Kang Keqing, Chen Muhua, Chen Zhili and Song Xiuyan. Its current president is Chen Xiurong, former vice-secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and vice-president and member of the Secretariat of the ACWF. Chinese first lady Peng Liyuan is a special envoy of the Spring Bud Project for the advancement of girls' education.

The development vision of the CCTF in the new era is to create a bright future for all girls. The public welfare project is committed to promoting the comprehensive development of Chinese children and teenagers and providing them with opportunities to enjoy a better life. The "Spring Bud" project, the "Children's Safety & Health Growth" project, the "Children's Happy Home" project and the "HELLO Kids" project are four flagship charitable programs founded by the foundation.

In December 2023, the CCTF was listed as one of national 5A-class foundations by the Ministry of Civil Affairs again.

In 1989, the CCTF unveiled the "Spring Bud" project in a drive to help girls from impoverished families receive better education. So far, the charitable project has become a leading project on promoting girls' education.

In 2000, the CCTF launched the "Children's Safety & Health Growth" project to pool the strength of people from all walks of life toward building a sound social environment for children. It is mainly designed to provide children with assistance in their physical safety and health as well as necessary financial aids.

In 2014, the ACWF and the CCTF jointly kicked off the "Children's Happy Home" project for rural "left-behind" children or those whose parents have left them at home to find work in far-off cities. It is mainly aimed at providing them with trusteeship and companion services and the access to games, entertainments and family education guidance.

In 2015, the "HELLO Kids" project was launched to send warmth and caring to disadvantaged children and minors affected by natural disasters in the form of lovely packages.

In the years ahead, the CCTF will stay true to its founding aspiration, carry forward the love and faith passed down by charitable people from generation to generation, and write a chapter of warmth and miracles for building a pairing-up relationship between adults and minors. The foundation looks forward to working with all people to help children fulfill their dreams and guard the future of the country.
