China Children and Teenagers’ Fund (CCTF) and Shiping Foundation conducted an inspection tour, and a return visit to Southwest China’s Yunnan Province, on March 26-29, 2024.

Li Zhongming, Secretary-General of CCTF, project leaders of Shiping Foundation, cadres of Yunnan Women’s Federation, and cadres of Yunnan Provincial Women and Children’s Development Foundation, visited Gongshan and Fugong counties, both in Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture, and Kunming, capital of the province.

They monitored the project’s progress at several schools, listened to lectures regarding adolescent girls’ health, offered grants and love packages to in-need children, and held project tracking and summary meetings.

In May 2023, CCTF and Shiping Foundation launched the “Building Bridges for Love” public-welfare action. Six million yuan (US $845,070) has been invested in the project to renovate 10 rural schools in Yunnan, offer grants to 1,000 children, provide psychological care and assistance to 5,000 adolescent girls, and organize employment training to benefit 200 girl students from vocational colleges.
