The China Children and Teenagers' Fund (CCTF) and domestic sportswear company Anta Sports jointly held a ceremony to offer student grant and equipment packages under the Spring Bud Girls' Healthy Growth public welfare project in Nanning, capital of South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, on May 23.

Li Zhongming, Secretary-General of the CCTF, Hu Jingbo, President of Guangxi Women's Federation, Xiong Ling, Chief HR Officer of Anta Sports and President of the Women's Federation of Anta's Operation Center in Xiamen, and Li Guozhong, Party Chief of Guangxi University, attended and addressed the ceremony. Those in attendance of the event also included representatives of Spring Bud girls.

Li Zhongming said that as China's first State-level public fund-raising foundation, the CCTF has firmly adhered to its aspiration, brought together social strength, and nurtured a number of public welfare initiatives with great social influence such as the Spring Bud Project over the past 44 years. Anta Sports, which is a charity-minded enterprise with social responsibility, has committed itself to charity cause. The Spring Bud Girls' Healthy Growth project jointly launched by the two sides has paved the way for Spring Bud girls to grow up healthily and realize their dreams.

He called on students to cherish their youth, study hard, acquire more knowledge and skills, remain gratitude and give back to society and their hometowns. He also called on more social forces to join hands to support the development of girls, helping them embrace a wider world and a brighter future.

Hu said that Guangxi is the earliest region across the country to implement the Spring Bud Project and over 300,000 girls in Guangxi have benefited from the project. She added that Guangxi Women's Federation has created a better environment for the growth, innovation and entrepreneurship of girl college students, and encourage more women to strive forward.

Hu said that Guangxi Women's Federation will work together with more enterprises and social forces to forge sustainable momentum for the high-quality development of women's and children's causes and contribute to advancing Chinese modernization.

Xiong said that the Spring Bud Girls' Healthy Growth project is dedicated to integrating sports-oriented public welfare with girls' education, improving the education conditions for girls from families in difficulties, and promoting their all-round development. 

Xiong added that Anta Sports will reinforce its cooperation with the CCTF over the implementation of the Spring Bud Girls' Healthy Growth project, provide Spring Bud girls with tangible support, and promote the balanced development of women's education and sports.

Li Guozhong said that Guangxi University has always attached great importance to the work on women and children and the all-round development of girl students. He stressed that the university will further strengthen its cooperation with the CCTF, Guangxi Women's Federation and Anta Sports, build long-term mechanisms, guide and encourage more students to make contributions to the realization of national rejuvenation.

At the ceremony, the CCTF and Anta Sports donated money and materials to Guangxi Women's Federation and Guangxi Women and Children's Development Foundation, and distributed student grant and equipment packages to representatives of Spring Bud girls.

In October 2024, the CCTF and Anta Sports jointly launched the Spring Bud Girls' Healthy Growth project. The company donated 40 million yuan (US $5.63 million) worth of fund and materials to the CCTF in implementing the project, which ranged from the release of student grant to the organization of girls' sports growth camps and the distribution of financial aids to sports teams. So far, the project has provided education grant to 300 girl college students and 300 girl high school students from 12 provincial regions, and offered material aids to over 10,000 Spring Bud girls.

During the growth class held on the day of the event, several extraordinary women shared their efforts and achievements in the fields of technological research and rural revitalization, offering Spring Bud girls inspiration and motivation on their journey ahead.

After the ceremony, attending officials and corporate representatives visited homes of several girls with subsidies and gifts, and encouraged the girls to embrace life with love, optimism and courage.
