The China Children and Teenagers'Fund(CCTF)became the only non-profit organization awarded a collective honor for its noticeable contributions to the development of the country's western region in July 2010.

A total of 153 organizations and 77 individuals were honored as outstanding collectives and individuals for their prominent contributions to the national western region development strategy.

Implementing the strategy of developing western region and speeding up the development of the central and western regions is a major decision made by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China(CPC)with a long-term vision and overall planning in the face of the new century.Since the implementation of the strategy 10 years ago,under the leadership of the Secretariat of the All-China Women's Federation(ACWF)and the CCTF Board of Directors,the CCTF has resolutely carried out the decisions made by the CPC Central Committee,and remained true to its founding mission of promoting education for children,especially those in western China.

Based on the needs of children in western region,the CCTF has made a great deal of productive efforts to support girls'education,provide vocational training to adolescent girls and ensure children's safety and healthy growth through the implementation of the Spring Bud and the Safety and Health Plan,and made a positive contribution to the development of western China.

On the new starting point of the 10th anniversary of the implementation of the strategy,the CCTF vows to act on the spirit of the national conference on the development of western China,give full play to the role of charitable organizations in improving social security system,and further consolidate its efforts to better serve women and children.
