The China Children and Teenagers'Fund(CCTF)launched the official WeChat account of the public welfare project"New Academy for Parents and National Online School for Parents"on November 24,2021.

Under the guidance of the All-China Women’s Federation(ACWF),the CCTF initiated the project in collaboration with relevant partners,aiming to build a high-quality new-media platform on family education and to provide millions of parents with wide access to scientific and practical online courses for free.

"Since the 18th CPC National Congress was held in 2012,Xi Jinping,General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee,has stressed the importance of family,family education and family values on many occasions and has made a series of statements on family building,which is of great importance in rallying the support of people from all sectors for the building of civilized families,the building of a modern socialist country and the realization of the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation,"said Zhu.

Zhu continued that the newly launched WeChat account,developed following the project's application,has received positive feedbacks from parents since its trial operation began on December 29,2020.

Zhu added the online platform has organized experts to assess the quality of its online courses,expanded the coverage and improved practicability of relevant topics.It will focus on the implementation of the law on the promotion of family education and work together with women's federations and professional organizations to pay more attention to the needs of left-behind children in rural areas,children from impoverished families and others who have special difficulties.

In the interview,Li said the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress(NPC)adopted the county's first law on family education promotion at its session on October 23,2021,marking that family education has been elevated,by legislation,from the scope of family affairs in the past to a matter of national affairs in the new era.The core issues of the law are to build positive values on marriage and family,foster virtue through education,set up an equal,balanced family education guidance service system in rural and urban areas.Li believed the application of the public welfare project's WeChat account will have great significance on promoting the implementation of the law on family education promotion.

For her part,Guo shared her child-raising experience.As a family education volunteer,she is keen to receive professional guidance from the online platform,enhance her competence in the guidance of family education in her community,and deliver love and strength to more parents.

The WeChat account has prepared 2,095 courses and is expected to roll out 2,600 new courses with high-quality radio/video teaching materials to better meet parents'needs.
