With the help of the women's federations,the China Children and Teenagers'Fund(CCTF)and the China Life Foundation have made great success in implementing the Spring Bud Project—Caring for Girls Action since its inauguration in April 2021.
The China Children and Teenagers'Fund(CCTF)and the China Life Foundation jointly launch the Spring Bud Project—Caring for Girls Action in Yuxian County,Zhangjiakou City,North China's Hebei Province.[CCTF]
The action focuses on helping girls solve various problems,ranging from confusion about adolescence and psychological growth to sexual harassment and campus bullying they may encounter,and at the same time it attaches importance to enhance girls'awareness and competence in self-protection via opening health-oriented classes and distributing packages with learning and living necessities as well as hygiene products.
The Spring Bud Project—Caring for Girls Action is held in Lhasa,capital city of Southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region.[CCTF]
The China Children and Teenagers'Fund(CCTF)and the China Life Foundation jointly donate 5,000 sets of packages to girls from South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.[CCTF]
As of August 2021,the action has been held in 124 rural primary schools of 70 cities in 10 provincial regions,bringing benefits to over 40,000 girls and their families.
In addition,CCTF and the China Life Foundation have been working to organize 50 health classes and distribute 130,000 handbooks featuring adolescent health across the country.
Many girls said that they have had a better understanding of physical and psychological health and have acquired more useful tips about how to keep themselves far away from potential dangers.

With regard to how to better implement the action,a doctor from Maternity and Child Healthcare of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region said in an interview that teachers should make their classes on physical and psychological health in adolescence easily understandable for girls.
The president of a primary school in Helan,a county in Northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region,urged the public to show more respect and love to women and stressed that the school would thoroughly carry out the action for the interest of girls.
