Glorious Journey—Exhibition of CCTF's Achievements in 40 Years opened at China National Museum of Women and Children,in Beijing,on October 11.

Shen Yueyue,Vice-Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the NPC and President of ACWF,officially opened the exhibition.Huang Xiaowei,Vice-President and First Member of the Secretariat of ACWF,gave a speech during the opening ceremony.

Peng Peiyun,Gu Xiulian and Chen Zhili,former vice-chairpersons of the NPC Standing Committee and former presidents of ACWF,attended the opening ceremony.They recalled the 40 years of CCTF's development and initiatives,and they talked about the bright prospects for the development of children's charitable causes in the new era.

Shen said the 40 years of CCTF's development and achievements are a vivid reflection of the great importance the Party attaches to the development of children's causes,a demonstration of the Party's commitment to giving priority to children,its concern for the healthy growth of girls,and the embodying of the deep love of former leaders,former ACWF officials and people from all segments of society.

Shen noted upholding Party leadership is the fundamental way to guarantee a good job is performed in all aspects of CCTF's work,and especially in promoting the development of children's causes.Shen said educating people for the Party and the country is CCTF's mission and responsibility,strengthening moral education and cultivating people is its fundamental task,serving the healthy growth of children is its basic purpose,and love from all segments of society is a strong support for CCTF.

Shen stressed CCTF should continue to follow the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era,and adhere to the Party's overall leadership,during the whole process of conducting children's charity work,in all aspects.The CCTF,she added,should ensure every gesture of kindness and goodwill is put to good use,so they achieve tangible results,and also ensure the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping and the decisions and plans of the CPC Central Committee are implemented to the letter.

During her speech,Huang said CCTF's 40 years of development are the epitome of the advancement of children's cause with the times,under the strong leadership of the Party,and a reflection of the happy and healthy growth of children and teenagers,who have been bathed in the care of the Party and the warmth of the big socialist family.The CCTF's 40 years of development,Huang added,also embody the people-centered philosophy of development in children's charitable causes.

She urged CCTF to gather and unite social forces to work together on the noble cause of children and teenagers,and to make greater contributions to ensuring children enjoy better lives and grow up healthily in the new era.

To date,CCTF has implemented many projects,and those projects have had widespread influence,such as the Spring Bud Project.The CCTF has raised more than 6 billion yuan(US$923 million)and benefited nearly 51 million children.

Huang Qingyi,former Vice-President and former First Member of the Secretariat of ACWF,attended the opening ceremony.Chen Xiurong,President of CCTF,presided over the ceremony.Attendees included officials from the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China,the Ministry of Education,Ministry of Civil Affairs,National Health Commission and representatives of donors,grassroots women's federations and relevant public-welfare organizations.
