一、Background of the Volunteer Seed Project
During the raging period of new Covi-19, pregnant women are facing challenges in epidemic prevention, prenatal delivery, infant pregnancy, nutritional supplementation and psychological counseling. Wuhan and even parts of Hubei have inconvenient transportation and shortage of medical resources, and urgent solutions are needed. With the donation and support of Mead Johnson Nutrition (China) Co., Ltd., the China Children and Teenagers’ Fund, together with Dr. Chun Yu and the NCP (New Crown) Life Support Network, jointly launched the “Fight against the Epidemic and Protect the Newborns” charity action to provide maternity in Wuhan Mothers provide timely and effective comprehensive assistance services ranging from anti-epidemic supplies, nutritional protection, and medical guidance, to assisting in contacting labor hospitals and beds, to online consultation, psychological intervention and support.
The smooth progress of the “To love the fight against the epidemic and protect the new students” project is inseparable from the hard work of countless behind-the-scenes volunteers. In order to further realize the huge potential of volunteers and promote the spirit of volunteer service, we launched the “Volunteer Seed Program”. More people understand volunteer service and train more volunteers to participate in volunteer service.
二、Volunteer seed program content
(一)purpose
Provide empowerment training for volunteers, and strive to cultivate a group of seed volunteers who are willing to contribute, have high overall quality, and have strong organizational and mobilization capabilities. After returning to their respective service positions, they can have a positive impact, drive more people to participate in voluntary services, and provide human resource reserves for normalized epidemic prevention.
(二)Course content
It is planned to provide 10 online training courses for participating seed volunteers, including how to become a qualified helper, the meaning of volunteer work, the boundaries of volunteer service, how to respond to emergency rescue, the three-stage model of helping people, and the differences The needs of different service targets, how to carry out community work after the disaster, etc.

Since its inception on February 11, the "Fight against the Epidemic and Guard the Newborn" project has distributed 5,100 pregnant women's epidemic prevention kits to pregnant women in Wuhan. The online consultation channel of Doctor Chun Yu provided consultation services for 1,277 people. "Guidelines for Medical Treatment of Pregnant Women in Wuhan during the Anti-epidemic Period", "Pregnant Mothers' Epidemic Prevention Manual", "Pregnant Women's Relief and Waiting for Labor", "Pregnant Women's Summer Epidemic Prevention Guide", clicked and viewed more than 40,000 people; The "Mothers Online Psychological Adjustment Course" has been viewed by more than 7,000 people; it has provided one-on-one psychological counseling and other services for approximately 654 people, and has helped 480 babies be born smoothly.
In the coming days, the project will continue to provide consultation services and psychological support services for 3 pregnant women’s WeChat communication groups and 2 postpartum novice parents support groups. It will also enter Wuhan for pregnant women and women affected by the new crown epidemic. Newborn families opened psychological reconstruction workshops and publicity and education about epidemic prevention knowledge and parenting knowledge in special periods, distributed living allowances to pregnant and delivery families affected by the epidemic in Wuhan, and donated "New Covid-19 Science Picture Book for Children" to Wuhan kindergartens, etc. .
