"Spring Bud program" student grant ceremony of the Chinese people's Armed Police Force and China Children and Teenagers' fund was held in Xinjiang

On September 20, the ceremony for granting the "Spring Buds" for the Chinese People's Armed Police Force and the China Children and Teenagers' Fund was held at Xinjiang University. Dong Lianxing, director of the Political Work Department of the Armed Police Xinjiang Corps, Zhu Xisheng, secretary-general of the China Children and Teenagers' Fund, deputy secretary and chairman of the Xinjiang Women's Federation's party group, Ainul Maihesaiti, Xinjiang University, Xinjiang Normal University, Xinjiang Agricultural University and other 10 universities More than 300 representatives of 148 aided university students, parents of aided students, teachers and students of Xinjiang University, and the news media attended the event.

At the ceremony of granting scholarships, appointed by the head of the party committee of the Armed Police Force, Dong Lianxing, on behalf of the Armed Police Force and Zhu Xisheng, donated 6.636 million yuan in "Spring Buds Program" to the Xinjiang Women's Federation to subsidize 10 places (states, cities) in Xinjiang. 553 college students completed their studies, each subsidizing 3,000 yuan per year for 4 consecutive years.

In his speech, Zhu Xisheng highly praised the officers and soldiers of the Armed Police Force for their selfless acts of support to education and poverty alleviation and their important contributions to helping poor girls. He also spoke highly of the Xinjiang Autonomous Region Women's Federation's active work to help poor women and children. He said that helping poor children cannot work without support from all walks of life, and he hopes that more social forces can give love and participate in it, so that charity can play a greater role in society.

Dong Lianxing said that the Armed Police Force actively responded to President Xi’s important instructions on the army to actively support local economic and social construction, and has long carried forward the glorious tradition of supporting the government and loving the people. Responsibility to continue to contribute to the growth of impoverished minority children in border areas, change the outlook of poor families, and build a well-off society in an all-round way.

The aided students said that the "Spring Bud Plan" gave them the opportunity to change their lives and let them feel the warmth of their motherland. They will surely seize this opportunity, turn care into motivation for learning, work hard, and become a pillar of society at an early date.

Since 2001, the Armed Police Force has continuously implemented the "Armed Police Spring Buds Plan" in Xinjiang. In the past 18 years, it has donated more than 17 million yuan to Xinjiang, assisted in building 44 schools, libraries, and happy homes for children, and directly subsidized 2,445 girls in distress. The aided students covered 14 places (prefectures, cities) and more than 40 counties (cities, districts) in Yili, Tacheng, Kashgar, and Hotan, Xinjiang, and spread the care of the armed police officers to the north and south of Tianshan, Xinjiang.
