On June 13, 2019, the "Spring Bud Project" Adolescent Education Program, hosted by China Children and Teenagers’ Fund (CCTF) and undertaken by Zhongcheng Public Welfare Venture Capital Development Promotion Center, was launched in Beijing.
2019 marks the 30th anniversary of the implementation of the Spring Bud Project by CCTF. Over the past 30 years, the Spring Bud Project has become one of the most influential and credible public welfare brands in China. Since the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), centering on the people's ever-growing demand for a better life and the overall requirement of "building virtue and cultivating people", the program and contents of the "Spring Bud Project" have been continuously deepened and extended, to meet the basic educational needs of children and promote children's development.
The main beneficiaries of the program is adolescence children aged 10 to 14 (especially girls)in urban and rural areas, aims to "landing" online and off-line way to build systematic, professional and scientific puberty education content. Through the contents, the program will explore the pattern of adolescent education with Chinese characteristics, and formation of combining school, family and social adolescence education social collaborative system, to promote the all-round development of children and teenagers.
Zhu Xisheng, Secretary-general of CCTF, said at the launch ceremony that the Adolescent Education Program, as an extension of the spring bud program, would focus on the education and protection of girls' puberty. Through various forms of publicity and education, extensive participation and interactive public welfare activities, we will guide families and girls correctly and accompany them to solve the difficulties and problems they encounter in the process of growing up. At the same time, through positive guidance, we will let the core socialist values and traditional Chinese virtues be rooted in the hearts of children.
Su Yanjie, professor of the School of Psychology and Cognitive Sciences of Peking University, and leader of the expert group of "Spring Bud Project" Adolescent Education Program, introduced the program knowledge system from the individual level, social level and family level. The individual level focuses on physiological education and psychological education, and develops education materials for children and adolescents and education storybooks for adolescence. The social and family level focus on children protection and social and family education, with the development of adolescent education curriculum and the production of popular science knowledge strip. After its official launch, the first year of the program will focus on the theme of "Hello Girls" and promote it in 150 schools in five provinces and cities across the country.
Love enterprise Heng An Group donated of more than 7.12 million yuan of money and goods to CCTF at the launch ceremony. Xu Zidan, CEO of Heng An Group Women's Health Industry Development said, "Heng An Group has been trying to practice corporate social responsibility, pay attention to the growth of children, this time to participate in adolescent education project, hope to pass positive power to the children."
During the ceremony, the leaders jointly launched the project and presented the girls' representative with a "Hello Girls" guardian pack. Young actors Deng Lun, Lan Yingying and Ma Li, and the fictional character Yuan Qiqi, were awarded the title of love ambassador of "Spring Bud Project" Adolescent Education Program.
As the representative of the love ambassadors, Lan Yingying Shared her thoughts on the education of adolescence. "Adolescence is a relatively special stage in the growth process, which is sensitive and vulnerable to external influences. It is my honor to work with experts and teachers as an ambassador to deliver positive messages to teenagers and help them become better themselves."
After the launch ceremony, Mr. Wang Jianyi, member of the expert committee of "Spring Bud Project" Adolescent Education Program, brought the first open class of adolescent education to the students. Aiming at the "personality" often mentioned in adolescence, with the theme of "Good Personality, Good Youth", he discussed with the students how to have a good personality.
So far, the Spring Bud Project has supported 3.69 million girls, donated 1,811 spring bud schools, provided practical technical training to 527,000 girls, and compiled and distributed 2.17 million Bud Protection storybooks.
