On September 4th, several generations of spring bud girls from all over the country gathered in Beijing 171 Middle School to join the lovers from all walks of life to review the 30-year history of the Spring Bud Program, share the joy of success and the happiness of growth, and celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Republic. 

This sharing session is a prelude to a series of commemorative activities organized by the China Children and Teenagers' Fund. It is a grand gathering of the Spring Bud family. It not only invited 20 talented spring bud girls, but also invited from Xinjiang, Qinghai, Ningxia, Gansu and Inner Mongolia. In Guangxi, Guizhou and Jiangxi, 80 girls who are reading spring buds share the story of Spring Bud and accept the baptism of Spring Bud spirit.

At the sharing meeting, a touching story of thousands of miles from the "Spring Bud" linked the blood and family relationship between Hong Kong, China and the hinterland of the southwestern Sichuan.

Butuo County, located in the Great Liangshan Mountains, gathers 12 ethnic groups including Yi, Miao, Yi and Han, of which the Yi people account for 94% of the total population. At the beginning of the county construction in 1955, illiteracy accounted for 99.8% of the county's total population. In the early 1990s, the enrollment rate of local school-age girls was only 25.6%. In 1992, the “Spring Bud Project” opened two Spring Bud Girls classes at Temu Li Primary School and Xixi River Central School in Butuo County.

At that time, Wang Fumei, who dropped out of school due to poverty, continued to study in order to enter the Spring Bud Girls Class. She had a hunger strike and struggled with her parents. Since 2016, as a grassroots cadre, she led the team in Boshi Village to organize the villagers to get rid of poverty, so that the per capita net income of this village will increase from less than 3,000 yuan in 2016 to more than 4,300 yuan in 2018.

Today, the deputy head of Lada Township, Wang Fumei, the accounting department of Butuo County, Wang Fuxiu, and the people of Butuo County, Jidi Moshi Liu, have a common mourning. They have soaked the bitter tea in their hometown, representing Butuo Spring Bud Girls. The 107 spring bud girls expressed deep gratitude to one person. She is one of the donors of Butuo Spring Bud, one of the initiators of the Spring Bud Project and the first donor, Zhou Jiebing, Chairman of the Hong Kong Bauhinia Society.

On the stage of the sharing meeting, the three people have long held the Aunt Zhou and do not want to separate. Zhou Jiebing is hard to hide his inner excitement: "The taste of bitter tea is very rich. After a bit of bitterness, it is sweet and sweet, like the fate of these children. Seeing them grow into independent women and knowledgeable mothers, I believe these It will also subtly change the poverty of the Great Liangshan."

Today, the Liangshan Mountain is still majestic, but it has been unable to stop the roads that have entered the mountains from the Chengdu Plain. The first spring bud girls in Butuo County have grown up and become more talented. It is more like a spring breeze, which has opened the heart of the closed people of Daliangshan. The millennial habit of not reading for girls has been completely eliminated. The enrollment rate of school-age children has reached 100%. More and more young people go out to work, and the production and lifestyle of the mountain people have begun to change.

In 1992, He Fangli was a soldier of the armed police team. He insisted on dividing his monthly allowance of 21 yuan into 3 copies, 8 yuan for the sister to pay tuition, and 8 yuan for the students of the Hongyao girls’ class. Yuan left to himself. And his comrades also insisted on taking a pack of cigarettes, drinking a bottle of water, donating a few dollars, and continuing to send tuition, clothing and school supplies to the children, which gradually became a conscious action and tradition of officers.

Fenggui Fresh was born in Yaokouyu, Yaokou Village, Baiyun Township, Rongshui County, Guangxi. The ancestors of Hongyao people pursued the habit of “dogs don’t farm, women don’t read”. Generations of women are not only isolated from the mountains here, but also poor. The narrow "big mountain" is closed.

Linking them together is the "Spring Bud Program." In September 1989, Baiyun Township, where the Hongyao people lived, established the first “Spring Bud Girl Class” in the country. The 8-year-old Feng Guixian became one of them. Today, 30 years later, after several generations of armed police officers and soldiers from all walks of life, the "Spring Bud Hongyao Girls Class" has been held for 11 sessions, and the school attendance rate of Hongyao girls has reached 100%, while Feng Guixian I have also taught and educated people in my hometown for 15 years.

The first "Spring Lei Hongyao Girls Class" came out of the first Hongyao female teacher Feng Guixian, the first Hongyao female doctor Lan Zhilin, and the first Hongyao female soldier Feng Xiujuan.

Since 1997, the officers and men of the Armed Police Force have supported the Armed Police Spring Bud program for 22 consecutive years. They donated 58.43 million yuan from wages and allowances, helping 14385 spring bud girls to complete their studies and assisting 13 "Wuquan Spring Bud Schools" and 12 "Armed Police Multimedia Classroom and Library" and 72 "Municipal Children's Happy Homes" help 20,000 infants and young children to improve the nutritional status of anemia, and distribute 10,000 "HELLO" children's love packages for poor children.

Yuzhuo Ma and Mihelunsha are like the Gesang flowers on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the snowdrops at the foot of the Tianshan Mountains. Although fate has brought them suffering, they are fortunate to be the “blue sky spring buds” funded by the Air Force. After graduating from the Tibet National University, Yu Zhuoma was honorably a member of the People's Air Force, and Mi Helunsha was elected as a representative of the National People's Congress from an air force female officer.

After joining the army, they used a part of their wages to help poor girls go to school. They said that our ability is limited, but we must stick to the practice of practicing the spirit of Spring Bud.

Since 1995, the officers and men of the Air Force have donated funds to support the "Blue Sky Spring Bud Program" for 24 consecutive years. They have donated 140 million yuan from wages and allowances. A total of 28,877 children have been enrolled in the school, and 97 schools have been built, and 3920 spring buds have been built. Teachers and older girls carry out skills training, demonstrating the high awareness of the People’s Air Force’s participation in poverty alleviation and social welfare undertakings.

In the summer of 22 years ago, 30 poor girls from all over the country entered the 171 Middle School's first “Spring Bud Girl Class” in Beijing. They finished 6 years of high school here and participated in the college entrance examination in Beijing. In 2003, they all entered the higher school. This is a pioneering work of the Spring Bud Project under the full support of the All-China Women's Federation and the strong support of the Ministry of Education.

Today, twenty-two years later, Mr. Chang Hao, the director of the sixth class teacher of the Spring Festival Girls Class in Beijing, said when she was with the representatives of the girls who were the spring buds of the seven girls, "We are not bloody. The echo of love also comes from the attention and dedication of countless ordinary people.

Hu Fangrong’s family in Beijing’s Anzhen Xili Community has two books. Zhang Wei, Chairman of the Women's Federation of Taihe County, Anhui Province, has been rushing for the “Spring Bud Program” for 27 years. He is riding a bicycle to promote the “Spring Bud Program”, mobilizing fundraising for enterprises, and examining the real situation of out-of-school girls on a case-by-case basis. The archives tracked their growth history. So far, they have raised nearly 3 million yuan for the “Spring Bud Project” and funded 3,300 poor children to complete their studies. The echo of love must be announced loudly. The Central Radio and Television General Station Yang Guang Music Voice launched the “I want to go to school” charity event. By calling on public figures to participate in public welfare, true love visits, and love roadshows, the public is called upon to participate in the “Spring Bud Project”, raising more than 76 million yuan for 16 consecutive years, and funding more than 60,000 poor children in more than 20 provinces to complete their studies.
