Children's Happy Home Macau Training

On September 17th, the “Children's Happy Home” left-behind children's parents' public welfare training was held at the Macau Fisherman's Wharf. More than 300 people from the Mainland, including hotels, restaurants and other service industries, attended the event.

In order to further deepen the care service of left-behind children and explore the effective mode of caring for left-behind children in rural areas and communities, the All-China Women's Federation and China Children and Teenagers' Fund have jointly launched the “Happy Children's Home” public welfare project since 2014, and established “Happy Children” in towns and villages. Homeland provides services such as custody services, family education guidance, and psychological counseling for left-behind children. At the same time, with the "Happy Children's Home" as a position, parent-child video, parent-child classroom, parent-child reading, parent-child games, to promote family exchanges, strengthen the publicity of family education science knowledge, optimize the family and social environment for the growth of left-behind children. By the end of 2018, the project had supported the social funds and the central special lottery public welfare fund. It has donated 1065 “Happy Children’s Homes” in 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, investing 106.5 million yuan to benefit children and More than one million families.

During the training, Gao Yurong, deputy dean of the China Philanthropy Research Institute of Beijing Normal University, focused on family education and child development, family education for left-behind children, parental duties and responsibilities, and the country. Interpretation of the four aspects of caring for children's policies, helping parents to establish a scientific and correct concept of parenting, and mastering ways to enhance their feelings and communication with their children.

The training is from the child development stage and needs as the starting point. The vivid example is used to describe the importance of family education to children's growth. The parents of left-behind children should be satisfied to meet the growth needs of children at different ages; through graphic and interactive interaction. Ways to teach parents about the necessary skills for long-distance parent-child communication.

After the training, the parents who attended the lectures said that the training content is very practical, easy to understand, close to life, and especially willing to share the knowledge and ideas learned to family and friends.
