On September 4th, the “Listening to the Sound of Flowers – The Story of Spring Bud” was held in Beijing. Peng Liyuan, the special envoy of the “Spring Bud Program” to promote girls’ education, attended the sharing session and launched the “Spring Bud Program – Dream of the Future” campaign. Huang Xiaowei, vice chairman of the All-China Women's Federation, first secretary of the Secretariat, and Zhao Wen, secretary of the Secretariat, attended the event.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the implementation of the “Spring Bud Program” for the Chinese Girls' Aid Program. In 1989, under the leadership of the All-China Women's Federation, the China Children and Teenagers' Fund organized the implementation of the “Spring Bud Program”. So far, it has funded more than 3.69 million poor girls, assisted in the construction of 1811 Spring Bud schools, distributed 2.17 million sets of buds manuals, and obtained 2784. Ten thousand people donated and raised 2.1 billion yuan.

At the event, the outstanding Spring Bud Program girls representatives, social caring person representatives, Spring Bud Program teacher representatives and media representatives deeply told the story of Spring Bud, and looked back at the extraordinary development process of the “Spring Bud Project”, showing the spring bud girls faith and confidence of chasing dreams.

Responsible comrades of China Children and Teenagers Foundation, representatives of Spring Bud Girls, representatives of Beijing 171 Middle School students, representatives of officers and soldiers of the Air Force and Armed Police Forces who have long supported and participated in the “Spring Bud Program”, public donors and volunteer representatives attended the sharing meeting.
