The Public Welfare Program of “Healthy Baby - Happy Martial Arts” was Officially Launched in Tangshan, Hebei Province

On April 26, the “Healthy Baby - Happy Martial Arts” public welfare program of teacher training held by China Children and Teenagers’ Fund (CCTF) was launched in Tangshan, Hebei. 42 kindergarten teachers from five cities in Hebei and Shandong provinces received a two-day public welfare training on children’s martial arts.

Zhuang Daoyong, deputy secretary general of Beijing children’s martial arts research association, explained the martial arts salute

This public welfare program aims to implement the important directive spirit of general secretary Xi Jinping, “to set up the education concept of health first, to have full physical education, to help students enjoy fun in physical exercise, strengthen their physique, improve their personality and temper their will”. Through the course training of martial arts for preschool teachers, the traditional Chinese culture is spread, the physical quality of children is improved, the tough character of children is cultivated, and the spiritual outlook of children in the new era is displayed.

At the activity site, Zhuang Daoyong, deputy secretary general of Beijing Children’s Martial Arts Research Association, taught 42 teachers basic martial arts etiquette and martial arts contents suitable for children such as sinology martial arts exercise, ancient poetry martial arts exercise and Nezha exercise. Martial arts are integrated into Chinese classical poetry culture, with classic works as the names of the movements. At the same time, Mr. Zhao Wenzhuo, a film and television star, was invited to serve as the “public welfare communication ambassador” of the program, to launch the initiative of “let children fight with martial arts” to enhance the whole society’s attention to the healthy growth of children.

Cai Chengqian, a teacher from Tangshan No.1 Kindergarten, said that the training course greatly enriched the sports curriculum. In the future teaching, he will actively teach the kindergarten children with what he have learned, so that more children can strengthen their physique, enhance their self-confidence, inherit the excellent traditional Chinese culture, and contribute to the healthy growth of the majority of children.
