On April 23, the donation ceremony of China Children and Teenagers’ Fund (CCTF) “Beautiful Home” charity program was held at Shibalitai Primary School in Longhua, Hebei. 184 sets of teaching equipment worth 1.29 million yuan were sent to local children, which will help them better understand classroom knowledge through all-in-one teaching machines, push screen boards and wall-mounted teaching display platforms.
In 2018, based on the actual needs of children in poor areas, CCTF launched the “Beautiful Home” charity program to prevent poverty caused by schooling or illness, and committed to improving the living and growing environment for children in poor areas. The program focuses on the overall goal of “clean water, safe food, healthy people, rich families, living place, and building a beautiful new home”. Through the cooperation with local governments, the public welfare program starts from creating the public welfare atmosphere of the city itself, and drives the comprehensive development of various welfare undertakings for local children and teenagers.
Wang Xiangnong, communication director of CCTF “Beautiful Home” said that the donation ceremony is just the beginning of a series of nationwide public welfare activities of “Beautiful Home”. In the next three years, “Beautiful Home” will continue to make further progress in the aspects of safe drinking water on campus, medical care for students and improvement of life of children in distress.
Wang Hui, deputy head of Longhua County, expressed gratitude to CCTF on behalf of Longhua County Committee and County Government. “This donation has improved the running condition of remote primary schools in Longhua County, encouraged students’ enthusiasm for learning, and is of great significance to the education cause in Longhua County. Longhua must live up to expectation, strengthen the school management, and improve the content of the school.” Wang Yanlin, director of education of Longhua County, accepted the donation and presented a banner to CCTF.
After the donation ceremony, participants visited the use of donated teaching equipment. At the same time, the public welfare lecturer team of CCTF brought 100 sets of handcrafts to the students of the Shibalitai Primary School and taught them origami, a traditional handicraft. The activity was full of laughter.
