“Spring Bud Project - Health Training for Female College Students” was Held in Renmin University of China

On March 27, 2019, the “Spring Bud Project - Health Training for Female College Students”, sponsored by China Children and Teenagers’ Fund (CCTF), co-organized by the Happy Family Public Welfare Center, Haidian District Maternal and Children Hospital of Beijing, and supported by the Kotex, was launched in Shanghai and held a health-themed training session at Renmin University of China.

It is reported that through the physical and mental health class, training and other forms of education, the “Spring Bud Project - Health Training for Female College Students” helps female college students in school learn health knowledge and skills, set up the “self-esteem, self-reliance, self-confidence, self-improvement” qualities, and use the learned knowledge in their future to play a more important social role.

During the training, Zhang Li, Director of the Applied Department of the Institute of Psychology at Chinese Academy of Sciences, brought the topic of “Psychology and You” to female college students, with the theme of “Why not fall in love?”, “Why my relationship always wrong?”, and “The thinking difference between brains of male and female”, etc., to help female college students to face emotional problems correctly and establish right views of love and marriage.

Zhang Ying, Chief Physician of the Department of Women’s Health Care in Beijng Haidian Maternal and Children Health Care Hospital, shared the topic of “Common diseases of women and the prevention”, from the aspect of menstrual health with vivid examples, she explained the importance of female physiological health, advocating that women should develop good living habits. She also brought practical health tips to female college students through the combination of pictures and texts, as well as gave detailed explanation of health care of menstruation period, dissemination sex disease prevention knowledge and so on.

Representatives of female college students from Renmin University of China, Beijing Jiaotong University and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications said that today’s training content is very practical, and they are particularly willing to share their knowledge and ideas with classmates and friends.

Women’s health is one of the important indicators to measure the national health level. Kotex was founded in 1920, to meet the physiological needs of women and committed to making every woman be more confident in life!
