“I Want to Go to School” Education Support charity event is a large public education program jointly launched by MusicRadio and CCTF. Since its inception in 2003, it has traveled to more than 20 provinces in China, raised more than 76 million yuan in funds and goods, donated 18 “MusicRadio Happy Home for Children”, and more than 120 “Spring Bud” Primary Schools and classes, and supported more than 58,000 children in poverty-stricken areas.

Zhu Xisheng, secretary general of CCTF, pointed out in his speech that in the past 16 years, “I Want to Go to School” activities have always focused on children’s education in poor areas, committed to the inter-generational transmission of poverty through improving education, promoting the all-round development of children, and send warmth and care to children in difficulties. In the future, CCTF will continue to work with MusicRadio to help children in need to get the chance to excel in life through knowledge.

At the event, singers such as Ni Kun, Ping An, Huang Yali, Milk Coffee, Zheng Hong and BOY STORY appeared on the stage and sang their love. At the same time, as love ambassadors, they took singing as the link, and made a voice for the public welfare. They expressed their love for the “I Want to Go to School” program, and called for more people to join the public education program, so that every “little migrant bird” can have a big dream.

In 2018, caring enterprises such as Yanzhiwu, Impression Liu Sanjie, Mead Johnson, Jiufu Public Welfare, China Jinjiu and Dayin Pharmaceutical, together with the visiting group of “I Want to Go to School” Education Support program, will go to poverty-stricken areas to care for left-behind children and contribute to public welfare, highlighting the social responsibility of enterprises. In the evening, the representatives of all enterprises attended the event, to witness the power of love, and receive honor medals for caring enterprises. At the end of the event, with the reciting of “A Letter from Afar”, “I Want to Go to School” once again appealed to the public, hoping that more caring people can contribute to the cause of public welfare and accompany more children in difficulties to grow up healthily and happily.
In 2005 and 2009, MusicRadio has been awarded “China Children’s Charity Award” for twice by All-China Women’s Federation. In 2011, 2012 and 2017, the All-China Women’s Federation awarded MusicRadio the “China Women and Children Charity Award - Outstanding Contribution”.
