Recently, after the first landing in Guangzhou, China Children and Teenagers’ Fund (CCTF) “Little Master” Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage Class settled in Chongqing and Chengdu. Combined with the local intangible cultural heritage project, the activity invited “old craftmen” to carry out inheritance activities such as performance, speech, demonstration and teaching, so as to create a more diversified form of “Little Master” of traditional intangible cultural heritage project public welfare class for children. Chongqing Normal University and Chengdu Caotang Primary School were respectively awarded the title of “Little Master China Intangible Cultural Heritage Public Welfare Class” learning base.
Students from Chongqing learned the traditional handcraft of cloth
On November 26, teachers from Chongqing Normal University led the 40 students of “Little Master” class, first came to the Kangning Studio to visit and learn. Students not only understand the traditional handcraft of cloth, but also pick up the needle under the guidance of the teacher to feel the unique charm of Shu embroidery. By January 2019, Chongqing class will invite five inheritors of national intangible cultural heritage to carry out of 50 classes of intangible cultural heritage in 5 projects on a regular basis to explain the knowledge and skills of intangible cultural heritage.
Students from Chengdu learned Liu’s bamboo weaving skills
On the November 26, the “Little Master China Intangible Cultural Heritage Public Welfare Class” was also held in Chengdu Caotang Primary School. The first batch of students learned the bamboo weaving skills from the teacher at Liu’s Studio - Chengdu Manjushri Square, and experienced the fun of traditional culture in the process of making bamboo dragonflies. The activity of Chengdu station will take Liu’s bamboo weaving as the main teaching content of the “Little Master” intangible cultural heritage class. By June 2019, a total of 28 classes of intangible cultural heritage class are planned to be held regularly.
It is known that the first 13 intangible cultural heritage project of “Little Master” China intangible cultural heritage public welfare class have been settled in Guangzhou University, Chongqing Normal University, Chengdu Caotang Primary School, Suzhou University, Peking University Affiliated Middle School and other places. The teaching content covered a number of national intangible cultural heritage projects such as Guangcai, Chao embroidery, Liu’s bamboo weaving, and mud stone carving, etc. In addition, “Little Master” China Intangible Cultural Heritage Class will also be carried out through online and classroom forms, all class content will be uploaded to the Internet platform, so that more people can understand intangible cultural heritage, and more children can learn it.
