Love Support in Enshi, Lighten Up Children’s Future

In the morning of September 27, China Children and Teenagers’ Fund (CCTF), together with Hangzhou Beidian, held the “Special Book Action - Lightening Up the Library for Children” books donation ceremony in Enshi, Hubei province. In this event, 15,000 books were donated to 4751 students in ten poor primary schools of Enshi.

Enshi, as a poverty-alleviation and ease-west cooperation region in China, is facing the imbalance education resource situation due to its inconvenient transportation and backward economic development despite its picturesque scenery and pleasant environment. Beidian practices targeted poverty alleviation and actively participates in public welfare. It has launched money and book donation event for many times, and promoted education development of Enshi through gathering social forces, helping poor students improve their living conditions and learning environment, as well as receive better education.

The event is a crowd-funding activity launched by Hangzhou Beidian in order to achieve the wish of “Lighting the Library for Children”. Many Beidian users actively participated in the activity on that day and placed orders decisively. As the elementary schools on the event page were lit up with 1,500 donated books, resulting in 15,000 books would be donated. Students of Sancha Town Center Primary School were very happy after receiving the books with love. They were eager to read the books, and the expression of careful reading was touching.

Previously, during the annual celebration, Beidian cooperated with CCTF to carry out the “Spring Bud Blossom Appreciation” public welfare activity, and raised a total of 210,000 Yuan for left-behind girls in Enshi, Hubei. At present, the charity fund has been distributed to 525 students in difficulty through the Education Bureau of Enshi.

The leaders from Education Bureau of Enshi, Beibei Group, the Sancha Town Center Primary School, as well as students, teachers and other guests attended the ceremony.
