The China Children and Teenagers’ Fund (CCTF) and Greenland Group's Southwest Regional Management Headquarters donated football fields and football sports equipment to Dongsheng Primary School in Yingshan County, Nanchong City, on June 6.

This move is part of the “2018 Football Dreamers” charity event to promote the healthier development of children's body and mind.

Xu Xu, deputy secretary-general of the CCTF, said that the “2018 Football Dreamer” charity project is dedicated to improving the sports facilities for children in rural areas. The project will start by building football fields and carrying out football training and teaching for children in impoverished village schools in Southwest China’s Sichuan Province. Later, it will cover as many as 1,000 impoverished villages to benefit thousands of children and teenagers who dream of playing football.

Greenland Group quickly launched the “10 billion Precision Poverty Alleviation Strategy” in response to the China’s call for “Poverty Alleviation”, said Sun Zhiwen, general manager of the Southwest Regional Management Office of the Greenland Group. We hoped to call upon the whole society to pay attention to the growth and dreams of young people through this event, and bring more people to participate in public welfare undertakings, he added.

The "2018 Football Dreamer" project also cooperated with Tencent Charity to attract wider participation from all walks of life.
