Zhu Xisheng, secretary of the China Children and Teenagers’ Fund (CCTF), releases the Work Report on the 10th Anniversary of "Ankang Home" Project.

Zhu Xisheng, secretary general of the CCTF, released the work report on the tenth anniversary of "Ankang Home" project, saying that Ankang Home is the largest centralized resettlement base for children in need in the disaster-stricken areas. After 10 years of operation, the Ankang Home project has successfully explored and implemented a post-disaster orphan emergency assistance model featuring a combination of efforts of government support, private funding, and charity organization supervision.

One of the highlights of the Ankang Home project is that it takes the psychological rehabilitation of children after the disaster as a key issue. To facilitate physical and mental development of children, Ankang Home was built to be a home-like residence with advanced and complete supporting facilities and a warm environment. It has been in cooperation with many schools, units, and hospitals to give the children positive psychological intervention and psychological assessment.

Over the past ten years, psychologists of the No. 6 Hospital of Peking University have evaluated the psychological status of children in Ankang Home six times, showing that these children have reached unexpected psychological rehabilitation results.
