A special fund for the health of early period of life was launched in Shanghai, on Nov 8, training people to gain special skills for the recovery of children with severe diseases.
China Children and Teenagers’ Fund (CCTF), Xinhua Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University’s School of Medicine, Changchun Kinsey Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Jin Bei Gao Hospital Investment Management Co., Ltd. jointly launched the fund.
Experts and professional personnel on early life health, children healthcare, and children recovery will be invited to help health workers, handicapped children, and their family members to understand the latest theories and grasp skills in need.

Early diagnosis, early prevention of disease, and early recovery are important to prevent the occurrence of children disability and the degree of disability, said Zhu Xisheng, secretary-general of CCTF. The “Early Life Health Fund” was raised from enterprises, individuals, and experts with over one year of preparation, which is expected to unite more people to join the care for children with serious diseases.

The move of setting up an early life health project fund is forward-looking as it is important to help people explore the origin of human development source diseases and find out early intervention methods, said Sun Kun, President of Xinhua Hospital, at the fund’s launching ceremony.
Changchun Kinsey Pharmaceutical and Shanghai Jin Bei Gao Hospital Investment Management Company donated RMB3 million to support the implementation of the fund.

A donation activity was held at Tencent Charity, Tencent’s mobile and desktop donation site, with all money collected to be used for operation and recovery of children with congenital heart disease.
