The  training opens on September 25 at the Textile Engineering Department of Aksu Vocational and Technical College, in Xinjiang.

The training was carried out by the 2017 "Blue Sky Spring Bud”project, held by the air force of Chinese People's Liberation Army, China Children and Teenagers' Fund (CCTF), and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

The "Blue Sky Spring Bud" was launched by the air force of Chinese People's Liberation Army in 1994 as part of the "Spring Bud" Project, a welfare program launched in 1989 by the CCTF to help impoverished girls return to school.

It organizes donation activities in air force to help dropout girls in Tibet and Xinjiang return to school.

This year's project collected a donation of around RMB560,000 yuan, and all money was used for the training. The training will last one month and then there will be one month of internship.

Chang Hong, vice-president of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region's women's federation, gave a speech at the opening ceremony of the training, saying that the training is aimed at equipping young girls in minority areas with techniques and skills for employment. She encouraged the girls to take advantage of this opportunity and set good examples of getting rid of poverty with hard work.

This move will benefit women and help improve employment of impoverished families. In addition, it enhances quality of young girls, enabling them to learn knowledge and techniques, said Kang Ju, an official in Aksu.
