Charity Banquet Celebrates CCTF 30th Anniversary

The Women's Activity Center was the setting on Saturday for a charity banquet celebrating the 30th anniversary of the China Children and Teenager's Fund's (CCTF).

Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) and Deputy Director of the China Children and Teenager's Fund (CCTF) Fan Jiying attended the charity banquet and delivered a speech. Fan thanked the public on behalf of the ACWF and CCTF for their help in developing children's charity.

Vice-President and Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women's Federation Chen Xiurong attended the charity banquet and presented certificates to donors.

A charity auction and performance were held during the charity banquet. The auction proceeds of 27,066,000 yuan ($ 4,265,600) were donated to the program to eliminate infant-anemia.

The program against infant-anemia, co-launched by All-China Women's Federation, Ministry of Health and China Children and Teenager's Fund this year, aims to solicit funds from civil society towards donations of nutrition bags to children aged between six months and three-years-old, so alleviating infant anemia in western China. A donation of 100 yuan buys one child nutrition bags sufficient for three years. The program has been brought into effect in 35 counties in 11 provinces of western China.
