Beijing Launches Childrens Charity TV Program

Friday saw the launch at the China Children's Art Theatre on Friday of the "Chinese Children" children's charity TV program.

Zhao Donghua, Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) said in her speech at the launch ceremony that children are the future and hope of our country and that it is vital that they grow up happy and healthy.

Also present were Director of the China Women's Activity Center Guo Xiang, Deputy Secretary General of China Children and Teenagers' Fund (CCTF) Wu Zhenying, celebrated directrix Wang Chaoge, Chairman of Beijing Ruixinantai Undertaking Investment Center Wang Xiude, and officials from the Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Civil Affairs, Ministry of Education and the All-China Women's Federation. More than 700 representatives of students, children, companies and people involved in charitable works also attended the ceremony.

The China Children's Growth Aid Fund, co-established by China Children and Teenagers' Fund (CCTF), China Women Activity Center and Beijing Ruixinantai Undertaking Investment Center, has launched charity programs that encourage families to cultivate children's cultural and artistic talents.

The "Chinese Children" TV program, the first charity activity launched by China Children Growth Aid Fund, commends children who show themselves willing to help others, so strengthening the public sense of social responsibility and promoting a harmonious social atmosphere. The program starts broadcasting on Saturdays and Sundays as from March 3, 2012 on Channel 1 of China Education Television.
