Chinese Charity Organization Awarded Five-stars for Transparency

The China Children and Teenagers' Fund has been awarded five-stars according to the China Charity Transparency Report 2011. The report, released by the China Charity & Donation Information Center under the Ministry of Civil Affairs, assesses the transparency of charity organizations' practices.

In 2011, the center selected 1,000 charity organizations to be ranked according to 71 indexes, including basic organization information, financial disclosure and information accuracy and timeliness. The report also ranked six other institutions at the five-star level.

The China Children and Teenagers' Fund, founded in 1981, emphasizes transparency in all their processes including fund collection, management and allocation. The fund also plays an active role in promoting and developing China's charity scene.
