More than 30 staff members from the China Children and Teenagers' Fund (CCTF) visited a Lei Feng-themed exhibition held at the ChinaMillenniumMonumenton March 15, 2013.
The exhibition is divided into two parts, with the first part featuring the pictures and other exhibits of Lei Feng and the second part featuring the pictures and exhibits of people exemplifying the Lei Feng Spirit.
The exhibition was launched in celebration of the 50th anniversary ofChina's former Chairman Mao Zedong's ‘Learn from Lei Feng’ campaign. The visit was organized by the Party branch of the CCTF, aiming to inspire the staff members’ working morale.
Lei Feng (1940-1962) was a Chinese People’s Liberation Army soldier who became famous after his death for his modesty and selflessness. In the ‘Learn from Lei Feng’ campaign, initiated by Chairman Mao in 1963 after Lei's death, Lei became a national icon. The youth ofChinaare encouraged to follow his example.
