Foundation Launches Charitable Training Program for Kindergarten Teachers

BEIJING, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- The Wisdom-fostering Fund, under the China Children and Teenagers' Fund (CCTF), held a ceremony here Friday to mark the first of a series of free training sessions for kindergarten teachers from all over the country.

The program has been launched at a time of severe shortages of kindergarten teachers in China, focused on improving the professional skills of teachers in an effort to up the quality of kindergartens as a whole, according to Chen Xiaoxia, secretary-general of the CCTF. She called on enterprises and individuals to donate to the program.

The Wisdom-fostering Fund will work together with the Training Center of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security in carrying out the training.

A total of 120 teachers from Beijing, and provinces of Shandong, Hebei and Henan as well as the Inner Mongolia autonomous region attended the first training class.

The Wisdom-fostering Fund was initiated in 2010, aiming to help provide a safe and suitable educational environment and resources for pre-school kids, particularly those living in rural areas.
