The 2013 National Children's Traditional Culture Festival opened on July 18, 2013, at the Beijing Confucian Temple and the Imperial College, to promote traditional culture for children.
Themed 'Nursery Rhyme, Feeling Classic', the event was jointly organized by the China Children and Teenagers' Foundation (CCTF) and China Institute of Children's Music.
Vice Secretary General of CCTF Wu Zhenying attended the ceremony and gave a speech. "We hope the activity will help children to form good morals and values and motivate them to contribute to the 'Chinese Dream'," Wu said.
As the supporting unit, Sinatay Life Insurance Co., Ltd has held the National Children's Traditional Culture Festival three times. "We hope to inspire more teenagers to study, inherit and carry forward the fine tradition of Chinese culture. Also, we have provided every child present here today with free accidental injury insurance," said Zhang Jingbo, chief risk official of Sinatay Life Insurance Co., Ltd.
According to the organizers, the National Children's Traditional Culture Festival is an influential part of CCTF's traditional culture education efforts.
More than 200 people attended the ceremony, including leaders from CCTF and the China Institute of Children's Music, Insurance Association of China, Chinese Traditional Culture Association, Sinatay Life Insurance Co., Ltd and representatives of teachers and students from across the country.
