CCTV Charity Night to Improve Credibility of Chinese Charities

Attendees to the opening ceremony of the CCTV Charity Night and the China Annual Charity Summit discussed ways to raise the credibility of charity organizations in China on October 22, 2013, in Beijing.
The event was launched by China Central Television (CCTV) and the China Children and Teenagers' Foundation (CCTF).
CCTV Charity Night will be held at the CCTV headquarters on December 1, 2013. At the event, 10 CCTV Charitable Persons of the Year will be selected and attendees will discuss the future development of charity in China.
"We hope that CCTV can play a role in enhancing the credibility of Chinese charities and encouraging more people to take part in philanthropy,"said CCTV deputy director Wei Dichun.
