Hengyuanxiang Group Co., Ltd and the China Children and Teenagers' Fund (CCTF) jointly donated wool for volunteers to knit scarves for disabled children in Taoyuan County in southeast China's Taiwan on February 10, 2014.

The charity event in Taiwan was also sponsored by the Taiwan Chinese Women's Association for Career Development and it is responsible for coordinating the volunteers to knit for the children. 1,200 scarves were made in total and subsequently donated to the needy.

General Manager of Hengyuanxiang Group Co., Ltd Chen Zhongwei attended the event in Taipei on 10th February. Before he left for Shanghai, he said he was impressed by Taiwan volunteers.

According to Chen, Hengyuanxiang Group spent 10 percent of its annual profits in 2013 on public welfare. "Continuing to create value for society" has always been its corporate motto.

Chairperson of the Taiwan Chinese Women's Association for Career Development Xie Jinyu praised "Forever Love Action" in Taiwan for brining happiness to more children.

Jointly sponsored by the CCTF and the Hengyuanxiang Group, one of China's top woolen consumables companies, the Heng'ai Action was established in 2005 in northeast China's Jilin Province to appeal to the public via women's federations and foundations in various regions, to knit sweaters for disabled children and disadvantaged orphans.

By June 2013, more than 690,000 children had received sweaters from benefactors across the country. The Heng'ai Action has officially been expanded to all provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions nationwide, including the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (XPCC).

Established in 1927, Hengyuanxiang, which, roughly translated, means a constant source of prosperity, has become a known trademark in China for products including apparel, knitting and home textiles. There are more than 10 wholly owned subsidiaries, around 100 factories in China, around 600 distributors, and around 5000 sales outlets under the jurisdiction of the Group.
