A CCTV gala program on the theme of children's safety, which is to be broadcast on CCTV Channel 7 during peak viewing time on June 1, which is International Children's Day, was filmed in Beijing on May 18, 2014.

The TV program, jointly organized by the China Children and Teenagers' Foundation (CCTF) and the China Agriculture Film and Television Center, aims to enhance children's sense of self-protection, inspire people about the issue of children's safety and then create a good environment for the healthy growth of children.

The program features a rich variety of entertainment, including gala performances, the introduction of stories on children's safety, on-site interviews and interactive activities on the knowledge of children's safety.

Themed on children's safety, the program focuses more on the safety problems that exist among the more disadvantaged children's groups including 'left-behind' children, whose parents have left them to work in far-away cities, and children in poverty-stricken areas.

The safety problems mentioned in the program mainly cover the problems of transportation safety, fire safety, prevention of drowning, and children's self-protection.
