The specific schools visited were constructed with donations from China's Air Force in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region from August 20-24, 2014.

Zhao, who is also vice-president of the China Children and Teenagers' Foundation (CCTF), inspected a Spring Buds school in Lang Township inLang County of Nyingchi Area and another one in Jiangdang Township in Shigatse City in Tibet. Zhao was satisfied with the development of the donation project and the improvement of the schooling conditions in the region.

Since China's Air Force donated to the Spring Buds schools in Tibet in 2005, the Air Force has donated a total of 9.94 million yuan (US$1.62 million) towards the construction of eight 'Blue Sky' Spring Buds schools and have helped 2,359 students with their studies. In addition, the Air Force also enrolled five excellent Tibetan college students who had graduated from the 'Blue Sky' Spring Buds Schools.
