ACWF Planning Celebrations for Upcoming International Children's Day

The departments for children and publicity of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) held a press conference on the arrangements for  celebrations for the upcoming International Children's Day in Beijing on May 22.

Zhang Xiaoyuan, head of the Department for Children, announced a decision of eight government agencies and organizations, including the ACWF, to celebrate International Children's Day this year, as well as the arrangements for the  ACWF celebrationst.

On May 28, the ACWF and China Central Television (CCTV) will launch a campaign to seek filial role models among children.

ACWF's subsidiary museum, the Chinese Museum of Women and Children, will host an exhibition displaying creative works by children. The exhibition will run from May 28 to July 18.

On May 30, a concert will be held for children and their parents at the museum. The concert is being organized by the museum and the ACWF's Department for Children.

The China Children and Teenagers' Foundation (CCTF) of ACWF has planned an evening gala for children, which will  air on CCTV's channel 7 on May 30.

In addition, the ACWF and its subsidiary organizations have launched a series of campaigns.

In April, ACWF launched a national campaign to collect sitcoms of parents and their children.

The children's department is currently selecting model child raising parents.

On International Children's Day, ACWF will encourage media to report on models of childrens' morality and help children who live separated from their parents to hhold talks with their mothers and fathers via online video.

In cooperation with government's green cyber space campaign for children, the ACWF will help parents with Internet knowledge, news sensitiveity and precautions against bad online content and behavior.
