The China Children and Teenagers' Foundation (CCTF), Jiangsu Women's Federation, the Bodybuilding Department of the Joymain (JM) Science & Technology Development Co. Ltd. and the JM·DH Charity Foundation held a joint ceremony in Nanjing, capital city of east China's Jiangsu Province, on November 28 to mark the official launch of 'JM's Action in the Protection of Youth Safety' fund and a corresponding campaign aiming to help local children keep themselves safe from danger in daily life.
According to its organizers, they will organize for local underprivileged teenagers and their parents to take part in multiple activities which integrate tips to improve children's ability to protect themselves against dangerous conditions.
The newly established fund will finance the construction of 'safety experience' classrooms across the city, invite professionals to lecture teenage students about how best to protect themselves from danger, and hold drills for them to enhance their ability to protect themselves over the next few years.
"As youth is the future of a country and the hope of a nation, it is therefore of great importance for the whole nation, including government, society and charity-minded enterprises, to jointly implement education around safety and thereby help keep our children and young people better protected", said Vice-President of the CCTF Chen Xiurong, who is also a member of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress (NPC) and deputy-director of the NPC's Internal Judicial Affairs Committee, at the launch ceremony.
She added that the newly introduced campaign and fund would further engage governmental bodies, school authorities and the public in the construction of a safe environment for children's healthy growth and social harmony.
Meanwhile, Wen Guangxing, director of the Bodybuilding Department of the Joymain (JM) Science & Technology Development Co. Ltd., remarked that his enterprise had dedicated itself to building happy families and the protection of children's physical safety over the past few years and pledged that it would work closely with relevant governmental departments, as well as schools, to consistently promote the cause in upcoming years.
Those in attendance at the launch ceremony included President of Jiangsu Women's Federation Miao Zhihong, Deputy Secretary-General of the CCTF Zhu Xisheng, chairperson of the JM·DH Charity Foundation Zhang Jianlun, and representatives from other local organizations.
