The China Children and Teenagers' Foundation (CCTF) in collaboration with Education Weekly magazine, Parenting Science magazine, and sina.com.cn held a ceremony in Beijing on December 1 to officially launch the Chinese Children's Education Volunteer Charity Alliance.

With the assistance of Chinese educational institutions, education professionals and parents, sponsoring organizations aimed to develop the newly established alliance into the largest Chinese platform for children's education, with an emphasis upon volunteers' involvement, to ensure underprivileged children from poverty-stricken and rural migrant families across the entire nation receive equal access to education.

At the ceremony, Secretary-General of the CCTF Zhu Xisheng extended his thanks on behalf of the charity to all businesses and individuals for their support and dedication to improving the livelihoods of underprivileged children. He then gave an introduction to the newly built alliance, in particular addressing how it was established and its primary aims.
