CCTF Programmes in Earthquake Stricken Areas

CCTF has raised nearly RMB 6,750,000.00 yuan in cash for earthquake relief for projects In Si Chuan Earthquake, CCTF has raised nearly 200 million in cash and equipment for earthquake relief for projects to rebuild community children centers and schools, re-house orphans with trained careers, relocate the worst cases to new schools and homes, provide school libraries and above all to get education and skills training underway again to give the best chance to youngsters already disadvantaged before the quake hit. These projects have beenaugmented by provision of psychological and trauma counseling for orphans and children disabled by the disaster and their families. The severe lack of rural teachers with adequate training is also being addressed with teacher training while skill to provide auxiliary teachers to bring schooling.
All of these projects and programmes are currently underway and a selection is highlighted below with more information. Funding to sustain these and develop further projects is being sought from both local and international donors.

Sony (China) Limited Company Donated RMB1 Million for Yushu Earthquake

Yushu Earthquake in Qinghai Province occurred in the morning of 14th April 2010. Many people Earthquake in Qinghai Province occurred in the morning of 14th April 2010. Many people were injured, perished and a lot of buildings have collapsed. On 16th of April, Sony (China) Limited Company donated RMB1 Million for CCTF with the support of its management, staff and distributors. CCTF's Assistant Chief Secretary, Mr. Wu Zhen Ying received the donation from Sony. The company hopes that the donation can give some relief for the earthquake's victims.

During the Sichuan Earthquake, Sony had donated for the establishment of a school, which has many facilities to protect its students from earthquake if it occurs in the future. Since the year 2007, the company had donated RMB3 Million to promote "pring Bud Project" of CCTF.

Heinz China Caring Infants in Quake-hit Qinghai

--Heinz donating infant milk formula worth of RMB1 million to Yushu

20th, Guangzhou) Heinz China today donated RMB1 million worth of Heinz Supergold Nurturance 2 Follow-on Formula to relieve the nutrition and health needs of affected infants in quake-stricken Yushu County, Qinghai. Representatives from Heinz China management and China Children and Teenagers's?Fund attended the donation ceremony.

A sudden earthquake hit Yushu on Apr.14th, leaving the county in ruins and local people in severe needs of food and other necessities. Hungry mothers are unable to provide sufficient breast milk to their babies, and many babies are thus in poor nutrition and in worrying health status. The first 6 to 12 months after birth is critical to an infant's growth. Therefore, supplying nutrition food to these infants in Yushu is quite urgent. The donated Heinz Supergold Nurturance 2 Follow-on Formula is newly launched in China and 100% imported from Europe. It is a stage 2 product of Heinz infant milk formula series, suitable for infants aged between 6 to 12 months. These products are expected to improve the nutrition and health of over 4,000 infants in the quake zone.

Love is without boundaries. Heinz China is attentive to Yushu peoples' needs and reaches out immediately. It is introduced that these batch of milk powder is specially allocated from the company's limited imports on hand, and not included in its normal sales plan. Heinz China hopes to help the quake zone and local infants with its best products, and performs its social responsibilities in real acts. The move was highly recognized by China Children and Teenagers' Fund.

Heinz China has been playing an active role in all charity activities in China. In the 2008 Sichuan earthquake, Heinz China provided nutrition products and financial support valued 3.2 million to help local children. As part of its long-term commitment in improving the health of Chinese children, starting from 2008, Heinz granted USD 1 million and joined hands with Ministry of Health to carry out the Micronutrient Supplementation Program in Four Provinces in Western China. The program lasted for three years and was aimed to improve the health status of children in Western poor areas. In the past 25 years, Heinz keeps on working with welfare centers in different regions, offering children in need with a wide variety of nutrition food.

On the 19th Arial, Ms Yi fei Liu has donated RMB 200,000 yuan to the Yu Shu earthquake relief through CCTF. This is the first donation that we received from for the stars to Yu Shuearthquake relief.

As a popular film star, Ms Liu put great emphasis on the development of the Chinese charitable career and when Si Chuan earthquake occurs in 2008, she has donated RMB 1,000,000 yuan to our CCTF "China Children Emergency relief fund"  When the Yu Shu earthquake occurs, although she was busy working, she cares the life of those children in the disaster area very much. She donated money again which can show her love and care for the children in Yu Shu Area and the charitable career.
