January: Children’s Safe and Healthy Growth Workshop in Guiyang city.

May: CCTF's Children Weak-Sightedness Special Fund. A charity event show featuring Jackie Chan sponsored over 400 needy children, allowing them to receive free, quality treatment.

June: The 3rd annual China Children Charity Day event.

June: People's Daily & CCTF launched the “Multinational Company Charitable Elite” promotion program.

August: A charity football game joined by national celebrities.

September: “Wall of Hope” international star charity concert at Great Wall.

December: China Central TV and CCTF mark the 15th anniversary of Spring Bud project.

“Scholarship for Girls” fund was officially named “Spring Bud Program” special fund.

The first special fund—“Scholarship for Girls” was set up, aiming to help dropout girls in poverty-stricken areas to return to school.
