What we do

Safe & Healthy Growth Project

The concept of “Safe & Healthy Growth Project”:

The “China Children and Teenagers’ Safe & Healthy Growth Project” is a large-scale welfare program aimed at providing children with a healthy environment in increasingly complicated social surroundings, and educating children to be highly qualified citizens in our society.

The purpose of “Safe & Healthy Growth Project”:

In order to improve the overall quality of life for China's children, we work to prevent children from dropping out of school or from succumbing to illness, injury, or crime. We plan to make China's children a new generation with scientific and cultural knowledge, strong physical fitness, and healthy character through relevant education and training.

Children’s Library Program:

The Children’s Library Program is a CCTF project designed to bring reading and educational materials to underprivileged communities throughout rural China, and to migrant communities in urban centers. The CCTF’s core mission is to bring the opportunity for education and reading to all of China’s children. The Children’s Library Program emphasizes the importance of reading and the value of books. A contribution of 10,000 RMB buys 1,000 books and all the materials necessary to construct a library space, including tables and desks, in a 15 square meter space. By encouraging a love of reading, the program opens up a world of hope and imagination to children.

CCTF Children Amblyopia Special Fund

The Children Amblyopia Special Fund is one example of the success of Safe & Healthy Growth Project. Around two million children suffer from Amblyopia. Although curable if treated at any early age, many parents can't afford treatment, which leaves the child blind in the infected eye. CCTF's program provides high quality care with a no charge treatment policy. This allows thousands of children the ability to grow up healthily and experience a world previously unseen.

Children’s Home for Hope

The Children’s Home for Hope was founded in August of 2003 as a joint project between CCTF and Amway. Since its beginning, the Home for Hope has provided around-the-clock care and free medical treatment to more than one hundred orphaned children with major medical problems. The Home for Hope in Beijing can accommodate up to eight special-needs children at a time. Donations to cover medical treatment and the children’s day-to-day care and donations of supplies such as milk and diapers are greatly appreciated and help make a difference.
